Celebration Assemblies
Mr Ward holds weekly celebration assemblies to reward children that have done a great job that week. These assemblies not only celebrate academic achievements - but also the class with the best attendance, sporting successes, children who may have achieved their own personal goals or who have demonstrated great examples of the Barnes behaviour rules.
Be Ready. Be Safe. Be Respectful.
Achievement rewards usually take the form of certificates presented in front of the school so that the achievement can be celebrated together as a school. Mr Ward also presents badges at the end of each term and academic year for children who have achieved 100% attendance.
The "Courtesy Cup" award aims to reward children for going "above and beyond" each week to do something fantastic. The Cup has been awarded in the past for being kind, being a great friend, having fantastic manners and treating others with respect.
